FLORIDA MAN IS FATHER OF FERRET CRAZE

MIAMI (Wireless Flash) -- Have you ever wondered who was behind the explosion of ferrets as household pets? It was Miami resident Wes Patterson -- a.k.a. the "Father of Ferrets." 60-year-old Patterson claims he was the first person to raise ferrets as pets back in 1968 after he went into a trance- like state and heard a voice in his brain say: "Raise ferrets." Although Patterson had no idea what a ferret looked like, within weeks, he had tracked down several of the weasel-like creatures and was breeding and selling them for $25 apiece. These days, ferrets sell for as much as $300. Although Patterson isn't famous for being the "Father of Ferrets," he doesn't care. In his words, "I did it for the ferrets. They deserve to be house pets." These days, Patterson is a reincarnation consultant who has just released a book of "past life poetry" titled "Past The Galaxies Of Stars" (toexcel.com press).
