CAN MEDITATION END KOSOVO CRISIS?

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash) -- A neuroscientist in San Diego claims a meditation technique known as "yogic flying" could bring an end to the Kosovo crisis. Dr. Alarik Arenander of the Maharishi Vedic University says "yogic flying" is a meditation technique that relaxes brain waves and allows practitioners to physically hop tremendous distances while sitting cross-legged. Arenander claims the technique also has the ability to calm non-yogic flyers who are miles away -- as in Kosovo. He figures that if 7000 yogic flyers all meditate together near Kosovo, the collective good vibes could end any conflict between NATO and Serbs. It may sound hare-brained, but Arenander claims a similar "yogic flying" session held in Washington, D.C. in 1993 reduced the city's crime rate by 23 percent.
