One person celebrating is a woman in Charlottesville, Virginia, who claims that she was Jefferson's illegitimate son in a previous life. 59-year-old Nora Shafran says she discovered her secret past after undergoing a hypnotic regression where she learned Jefferson was once her father and his long-time slave and lover, Sally Hemings, was her mother.
