GERMAN HOTEL HOSTING NIGHTLY FROG `CONCERTS'

HITZACKER, Germany (Wireless Flash) -- Thousands of loud-mouthed, mating frogs have become a tourist attraction in Hitzacker, Germany. Every Spring the frogs congregate on the banks of the Quiet River where the amphibians are anything but quiet. The nightly din from the frogs is so loud that guests staying in a nearby hotel sometimes can't hear their own thoughts. Hotel manager Peter Veichoreck says no one really minds because the ribbetting frogs are a popular attraction. Sometimes, he even dresses up in a tuxedo and tries to conduct the frogs in a sort of musical symphony. Although the noisy frogs are usually reliable ribbeters, the green critters occasionally throw "star fits" by refusing to sing when the weather is too cold.
