HOLLYWOOD HOTSHOTS USING BOTULISM TO STOP SWEATING

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- First, Hollywood hotshots injected their faces with botulism to erase their wrinkles -- now they're shooting it into their armpits to stop sweating. That's according to Manhattan-based cosmetic dermatologist Dr. Debra Jaliman, who says she's heard reports of the so-called "Botox" treatment being used to keep underarms from getting soggy and hands from getting clammy. The treatment works by paralyzing the muscles around the sweat glands for a prolonged period of time, stopping any perspiration. Although Dr. Jaliman doesn't promote the technique herself, she says some high-profile stars allegedly underwent the procedure to prevent their sweat from soaking their fancy clothes during the last Academy Awards ceremony.
