EXTREME'S EX-DRUMMER NOW FOCUSING ON `CHICKS & STICKS'

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- The former drummer from the rock group Extreme is changing his tune from heavy metal to heavy giggles. Mike Mangini is currently putting together a comedic project called "Chicks & Sticks" which features drum-heavy music with vocals sung by sexy women. The album will feature a sense of humor similar to "Austin Powers" but the music will sound more like Nine Inch Nails. Mangini says he's looking for belting babes who will duet with him and as well as talented soloists who'll be able to -- in his words -- "torture me with my lyrics." This isn't the first time he's dabbled in "sticks and chicks." During a concert when Mangini was with Extreme, he tossed a drumstick into the audience which accidentally smacked bandmate Gary Cherone's grandma on the noggin.
