GLOW IN THE DARK SODA, BEER ON THE HORIZON

PITTSBURGH (Wireless Flash) -- The future looks bright for two scuba-diving physicians in Pennsylvania who plan on creating glow-in-the-dark food and beverages. Oncologist Gene Finley and surgeon Bruce Bryan figured out a way to clone the natural substance that makes some sea animals glow underwater. The two doctors now hope their edible incandescent invention will lead to glow-in-the-dark soda, beer and even birthday cakes. The compound gives off a blue-green hue that glows anywhere from a few minutes to one hour and is completely harmless. In fact, the glowing goo is full of immune-system boosting anti- oxidants. Dr. Finley says the first product to feature the compound will be a glow-in-the-dark squirt gun which will be unveiled next month at an invention convention in Pittsburgh.
