LUNAR CONNECTION TO RASH OF SCHOOLYARD SHOOTINGS

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. (Wireless Flash) -- Is there a link between the moon's cycles and the rash of schoolyard shootings in the past three years? Lunar behavior researcher Jeff Warren recently analyzed the moon's position on the days of seven different schoolyard shootings including the 1997 massacre in Paducah, Kentucky, last year's Jonesboro, Arkansas, massacre and last week's Littleton, Colorado, nightmare. Amazingly, Warren says all off the incidents occurred within a 7-day-span of a new moon -- a time, he says, when people are more likely to engage in compulsive, violent behavior. Warren thinks the "moonlight madness" may be triggered by increased electrical energy caused by the orbital interaction of the earth and the moon. But there's more bad news: Warren says January 1, 2000, falls smack dab during a new moon period which means Y2K celebrations could be unusually violent.
