`PRACTICE' STAR: `I WAS ADDICTED TO CRYSTAL'

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- Overweight actress Camryn Manheim is revealing some heavy truths about her past drug use. Manheim -- who stars on the ABC legal drama "The Practice" - - tells "TV Guide" she became a speed addict while attending graduate student at NYU. Manheim compares snorting crystal meth to snorting "shards of glass," but admits the drug does promote weight loss. In her words, "It will kill you, but you will look great in that coffin." It wasn't until she almost overdosed on the drug and her friend refused to call an ambulance that Manheim realized it was time to "quit smoking, quit speed, quit having gratuitous sex and quit lying." Manheim discusses her meaty past in her upcoming autobiography, "Wake Up I'm Fat".
