TOMORROW IS NATIONAL HONESTY DAY -- HONESTLY

BALTIMORE (Wireless Flash) -- Don't be surprised if politicians or used-car salesmen keep a low profile tomorrow (Apr. 30). That's because it's National Honesty Day, and Americans are supposed to emphasize honesty in all their dealings. In honor of National Honesty Day, founder Hirsh Goldberg has selected what he thinks are the most truthful people of the year to receive his coveted "Honest Abe Award." This year's Grand Prize Winner is Bracha Graber, a New York City social worker who blew the whistle on an alleged scam to collect federal funds for phony foster care. Other Honest Abe winners include former White House press secretary Mike McCurry, who wins for telling the truth even when his boss didn't. "Dishonorable Mentions" include President Clinton for lying about the lust in his heart and National Baptist Convention president the Reverend Henry Lyons, who was convicted for swindling millions of dollars by selling fake mailing lists to corporations.
