DENNIS WEAVER TURNS BAD: WILL PLAY THE `HEAVY' IN NEW WESTERN

RIDGEWAY, Colo. (Wireless Flash) -- Good guy Dennis Weaver is going to the Dark Side for his latest role. Weaver is set to play the bad guy in a new TV-movie version of the classic western "The Virginian" that will begin filming this summer in Alberta, Canada. Although this is one of the few times in the actor's 45- year-career that he plays a "heavy," he doesn't think it will be hard at all. Weaver says even villains think they're the good guys, so he'll just pretend he's a decent guy caught in unfortunate circumstances -- which isn't too different from the roles he's played before. Interestingly, this won't be Weaver's first brush with "The Virginian" -- he once appeared on the 1960's series based on the classic western novel. However, Weaver jokes it's been so long since he made the guest shot that he doesn't even remember which part he played on the show.
