ALABAMA CATHOLIC SCHOOL HAS THE `WRITE STUFF'

CULLMAN (Wireless Flash) -- A Catholic school in Alabama has the "write stuff" -- it's home to more handwriting champs than any other school in America. The Sacred Heart School in Cullman, Alabama, is home to this years' winner of the U.S. National Handwriting Championship. The school also won in 1998 and 1996. It may seem a little fishy, considering there are almost 850 other schools competing in the handwriting "Olympics," but the school's principal insists there's no monkey business going on. Sister Tonette Sperando admits the number of winners from her school is amazing, given the odds, but she says it must be due to the daily penmanship lessons every student must take. Contest organizers say they aren't surprised at Sacred Heart's astounding record, because the sisters are such sticklers for good handwriting.
