WOODWARD MURDER CASE BAD NEWS FOR ENGLISH AU PAIRS

GREENWICH, Conn. (Wireless Flash) -- It looks like the Louise Woodward "shaken baby" case is leaving lots of parents shaken by English au pairs. According to statistics from the Au Pair in America program, the number of English au pairs in America has decreased by half since the Woodward case came to an end last year. A spokesperson says the decrease is due to parents who are now scared they'll end up with another Woodward if they hire a British au pair. But while the number of English nannies in America may be decreasing, there's an increase in the number of nannies from countries like South Korea, Brazil and the Czech Republic. Au Pair in America estimates the number of au pairs from those countries has increased at least 30 percent since the Woodward case.
