KOREAN TEA TOUTED AS HANGOVER CURE

SEOUL, Korea (Wireless Flash) -- A Korean inventor claims he's created an herbal tea that supposedly cures a hangover within 30 minutes. The concoction contains a mixture of alder, licorice root, honey and ground-up gourd that allegedly helps the liver detoxify alcohol. Inventor Nam Jong Hyun claims studies on boozed-up lab rats who were given his tea revealed that it sharply reduced the amount of blood alcohol in the rats. Currently, Dr. Hyun's hangover tea is being marketed in Korea with the slogan, "Goodbye to alcoholism," but the booze- reducing beverage is expected to be available in the U.S. within a few months. Hyun is demonstrating his hangover tea at the Invention/New Products Expo, which opened today in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
