LOUISIANA TOWN GUNS FOR TOURISTS WITH BONNIE AND CLYDE BASH

GIBLAND, La. (Wireless Flash) -- This Sunday (May 23) marks the 65th anniversary of the day bank robbers Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow were shot to death by FBI agents near Gibland, Louisiana. The town of Gibland plans to celebrate by holding something called "The Authentic Bonnie And Clyde Festival" this weekend. Although organizer Sharon Washington claims the festival is meant to honor the FBI agents who killed the bank-robbing duo, she admits most of the folks who turn out for the festival are more interested in the slain gangsters than the heros. In fact, there's more demand for Bonnie and Clyde T-shirts and coffee mugs than for FBI agent souvenirs. Besides Bonnie and Clyde artifacts, festival-goers will also be able watch re-enactments of both the FBI ambush and Bonnie and Clyde's death scene.
