CREMATED ASHES TURNED INTO `ASH TREES'

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- The old saying "ashes to ashes, dust to dust" may soon change to "ashes to trees" if a man in New York has his way. Attorney Mac Truong has invented a process that he claims can bring back the spirit of a dearly departed loved one by planting a tree in a potting soil made out of cremated ashes. Truong calls it a "Forest Of Life" and he hopes to franchise his idea to hundreds of entrepreneurs around the world. Each tree in the Forest of Life will be planted in a hole in which the ashes of the deceased are dumped. The tree then supposedly absorbs the "essence" of the dead and makes the tree a stand-in for the now-deceased person. Truong hopes to create forests around the world where folks can look at the trees of their dead relatives -- but the process won't be cheap: He estimates it will cost about $50,000 for a entire family to be turned into trees. Truong hopes to have his first "Forest Of Life" operating in the New York area within a year.
