PHOTOGRAPHY `CAT'-ASTROPHES

SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash) -- Talk about suffering for art: A cat photographer in San Diego actually let a kitty climb into his pants just to get a good shot. It's nothing new for photographer Bob Walker, who puts himself in all sorts of "cat-astrophes" just to get unusual photos of his nine pet pussycats. In order to get the picture of a cat in his pants, Walker dropped his drawers, sat on the toilet with a camera and then waited for his cat to climb into his boxer shorts. Then there was the time Walker slept for several nights with a time-lapse camera mounted above his bed so he could capture his kitties climbing all over him and his wife as they slept. Unfortunately, there wasn't much sleeping since the camera emitted a bright flash every 13 minutes. Walker's photography appears in the new book, "Cats Into Everything" (Andrews-McMeel).
