GLOBAL WARMING GETS ITS OWN HOLIDAY

GLOBAL WARMING GETS ITS OWN HOLIDAY

MAPLEWOOD, N.J. (Wireless Flash) -- Environmentalists will get boiling mad when they hear this: A new holiday that will celebrate the benefits of global warming. New Jersey's National Anxiety Center has declared June 7 "Celebrate the Heat Day" to honor the good things about global warming -- if global warming even exists. According to spokesman Alan Caruba, all evidence suggests the Earth hasn't warmed at all in the past 50 years, even though most people choose to ignore the facts. If global warming does exists, he says there will be some potential advantages such as longer growing seasons and year- round golf in cold-weather climates. However, "Celebrate The Heat Day" is getting some heat from climate experts such as Dr. Darren Goetze of the Union Of Concerned Scientists, who says global warming is a real concern. He says that while global warming could benefit wheat farmers in the U.S., it could have devastating effects on third world farmers who rely on crops for day-to-day survival.
