WOMAN TO ATTEMPT 24-HOUR, 100-MILE RUN

KILDEER, Ill. (Wireless Flash) -- Can you imagine running for 24 hours straight? That's exactly what an Illinois woman plans to do this weekend (June 4-5). 34-year-old mother of three Geri Sorenson plans to run a 100-mile course in 24 hours -- with the only stops being a few potty breaks. In order to complete the fleet-footed feat, Sorenson will eat food continuously as she runs, consuming about 10,000 calories throughout the 24-hour run. She estimates she'll eat six cans of soup, 14 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, 44 pretzels, eight bananas, 25 bottles of energy drink, 10 potatoes, four pieces of pizza and 16 cookies before the run is over. Although the 100-mile trek sounds grueling, it's no sweat to Sorenson, who ran 40 marathons in the last year alone to train for this. Even more amazing: she actually ran one of the marathons while 7 months pregnant.
