MARLON BRANDO INSPIRED NEW AUSTIN POWERS MOVIE

HOLLYWOOD (Wireless Flash) -- The new "Austin Powers" movie may not be an example of "Method Acting," but Method master Marlon Brando actually played a small role in bringing the flick to life. That's according to Mike Myers, who says one of the characters in the film was inspired by Brando's bizarre cloning flick, "The Island of Dr. Moreau." Myers says he was watching Brando interact with a pint-sized clone of himself in the film and realized that was exactly what he needed in the new "Austin Powers" movie. The comic then wrote a new character into the script called "Mini-Me," who's a tiny clone of Austin Powers' nemesis, Dr. Evil. "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me" opens June 11.
