CRAIG KILBORN PROVES BENEFITS OF BEGGING

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- Craig Kilborn -- the star of the CBS "Late, Late Show" -- is living proof that begging for a job can have its benefits. "TV Guide" reports that Kilborn was recently cast for a small part on the soap opera "Bold And The Beautiful" -- but only after he shamelessly campaigned for the role on his talk show. As a result, Kilborn will be seen on the June 18 episode of "B&B" playing Nurse Peabody, "a lackadaisical male nurse" who attends to pregnant heroine Hunter Tylo. Kilborn admits his two-line part isn't that great: He simply wheels in an ultrasound machine and tells the gynecologist: "If you have a problem with it, just give it a light tap on the side." Then Kilborn is given Tylo's urine sample and he says: "Hmm, looks pretty healthy, but I'll check it."
