PMS BLAMED FOR BAD BREATH

CHICAGO (Wireless Flash) -- Ladies, if you thought feeling bloated and cranky was bad enough, now comes word premenstrual syndrome causes bad breath. According to Linaya Hahn of the PMS Holistic Center in Chicago, a woman's breath is at its worst just before her period. Hahn says the halitosis is caused by an increase in hormones that allows a type of yeast called "Candida" to grow in a woman's mouth. As the yeast cells grow and die, they emit stinky smells that cause the woman to have horrible breath. If you want to prevent the dreaded "PMS breath," don't reach for the breath mints. Hahn says you'd be better off cutting down on sugar, alcohol and vinegar in your diet -- foods she claims can increase the growth of Candida.
