REAL LIFE `DEEP IMPACT' TO PLAY OUT IN AUGUST?

VANCOUVER (Wireless Flash) -- A real-life version of "Deep Impact" could have an impact on your life sometime this summer. Scientists are currently fretting over a comet known as "Comet Lee," which may come perilously close to Mother Earth in August. Science journalist Alfred Webre reports that Comet Lee is traveling in such an erratic path that it's hard for scientists to pin down exactly where it will be -- but it looks like it will pass over Earth in mid-August. Webre says the worst case scenario is that the comet will collide with Earth, causing mass destruction. However, even if Comet Lee doesn't hit the planet, the comet's presence could cause explosions on the sun and trigger earthquakes and hurricanes on Earth. Although the jury is still out on the comet's path, Webre says it's important to keep tabs on its position in case someone figures out a way to deflect it.
