FASHION VICTIMS: HIP CLOTHING CAUSING VIOLENCE

SUNNYVALE, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- The current popularity of military-style clothing is turning some folks into literal fashion victims. According to peace activist Doug Mattern of the Association of World Citizens, the current fashion trend of army-style khaki pants, camouflage tops and combat boots is a sure sign people are getting more violent. Mattern, who organizes peace rallies in high schools, claims the militaristic clothing is feeding an upturn in violence in schools. The clothing is also frightening to students who don't wear camouflage. He says part of the problem lies with the parents who wear military-style cargo pants or Mafia-style suits which can also influence young folks into becoming more violent. Mattern has a unique solution for the violent clothes problem: He recommends tossing the thug-like garments into the garbage can for good.
