GIANT BUREAU TOP TOURIST ATTRACTION FOR NORTH CAROLINA TOWN

HIGH POINT, N.C. (Wireless Flash) -- When folks ask Marty Frazier if they can see his drawers, he doesn't bat an eye -- but you'd better be aware that Marty's drawers are 32 feet high, 27 feet long and 14 feet wide. The drawers in question are part of the World's Largest Bureau, a structure in High Point, North Carolina, that houses the town's Junior Chamber of Commerce. The building is designed to look like it has four drawers and even has a pair of giant prop socks hanging out of the middle drawers. The brontosaurus-sized bureau was commissioned in 1926 to help cement High Point's title as the "Furniture Capital of the World." The town also wanted to steel the spotlight from nearby Thomasville, which constructed the "World's Largest Chair" four years earlier.
