NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- Here's some Foo for thought: Foo Fighters guitarist Franz Stahl has officially exited the band. Sources close to the band describe the parting as "amicable but necessary" but, as a result, band members are canceling their upcoming gig at Woodstock '99 in order to finish their next album before fall.

Nothing like a little blood and guts to make you proud to be an American. A new survey by Blockbuster Video reveals that "Saving Private Ryan" is the film that makes Americans feel the proudest about the USA, followed by "Independence Day" and "Apollo 13." Other films that make Yanks proud to be Americans include "Armageddon, Top Gun" and "Mr. Smith Goes To Washington."

-- Collectors of movie memorabilia are proving grosser is better when it comes to their collections. Case in point: a prop beaker used to hold evil henchman Fat Bastard's stool sample in "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me" is expected to sell for more than $300 at an online auction sponsored by New Line Cinema.
