NEW TOUR GIVING BARRY MANILOW DEJA VU

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- Barry Manilow says preparing for his upcoming tour is giving him deja vu. The tour will be the first time in year that Manilow will be performing his old hits while wearing his old costumes -- and it's bringing back a lot of old memories. Manilow says singing "Copacabana" will always remind him of the time a New York disco previewed the tune without telling people who the artist was. Although no one expected the song to be a hit, he knew he had something when dancers started doing latin disco moves as soon as "Copacabana" started playing. The song originally peaked at No. 6 in 1978, but Manilow says the tune is now his most popular number and the one all his fans want to hear. Manilow's nationwide tour will kick off July 24 in San Diego.
