BROTHER CAN YOU SPARE A DRACHMA? FOREIGN SPARE CHANGE NEEDED

CHESTER, Conn. (Wireless Flash) -- A group of deaf actors has come up with a unique way to raise money -- they want Americans who have traveled abroad to donate any leftover foreign coins or currency. The National Theater of the Deaf hopes to raise $10,000 for an upcoming trip to Australia by collecting spare pesos, drachmas, deutsche marks -- you name it. The foreign cash will then be converted into U.S. funds to finance the trip. Unfortunately, the group may be in for a long haul since their plane takes off on July 25th and they've only raised about $150 in Irish pounds and Italian lire. Donations for the group are being accepted at Theatre of the Deaf, P.O. Box 659, Chester, CT; 06412.
