`INDIGO CHILDREN:' FANCY NAME FOR BRATTY KIDS?

CARLSBAD, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- When are bratty kids not brats? When they're "Indigo Children." That's the new name for children who supposedly are the next step in human evolution, according to Lee Carroll, author of the new book, "The Indigo Children: The New Kids Have Arrived" (Hay House). Carroll says "indigo kids" are creative, sensitive souls who often feel as if they're royalty; don't like to wait in lines; have short attention spans and score badly on tests. On the surface, they act like selfish brats, but Carroll claims when the "Indigo Children" mature, their bratty behavior will help create innovative solutions for old problems. If you're the parent of a bratty "Indigo Child," Carroll suggests the best way to make them obey you is to treat them as tiny adults and calmly explain how obeying now will help them in the long run.
