JOHN DILLINGER KILLED 65 YEARS AGO (JULY 22)

CHICAGO (Wireless Flash) -- Next Thursday (July 22) marks the 65th anniversary of the day FBI agents shot and killed gangster John Dillinger outside a Chicago theater. Now a Chicago-based parapsychologist plans on conducting a seance at the bar where the gangster had his last drink. To get people in the mood, paranormal expert Richard Crowe will show Dillinger newsreels until 10:30 p.m. -- the hour of his death. Then a bagpiper will attempt to rouse the ghostly gangster from the dead. If Dillinger's ghost does show up, Crowe believes the phantom may relive the last brutal moments of Dillinger's life in front of the flesh-and-blood crowd. Although the gangster's ghost hasn't been seen in Chicago for years, Crowe is hopeful Dillinger will appear because the weather conditions are supposed to be the same as the day he died.
