WIRELESS FLASH BRIEFS FROM AROUND THE WORLD

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- Actor Hector Elizondo played matchmaker for Julia Roberts and Richard Gere in "Pretty Woman" - - now that role is carrying over into real life. On the set of the new movie "Runaway Bride" -- which also stars Roberts and Gere -- Elizondo played Cupid by helping an extra get up the guts to propose to his girlfriend of eight years. -- LOS ANGELES -- "Moesha" cast member Sheryl Lee Ralph is returning to the '80s as far as her singing career is concerned. The actress recently recorded a dance music version of the Eurythmics hit "Here Comes The Rain Again" that she figures will appeal to fans of her teenage co-star, Brandy Norwood. Ralph also hopes to benefit from Cher's recent comeback because -- in her words -- "...she's making people love deep-throated women once again." -- NASHVILLE -- Country singer Marty Stuart's latest album, "The Pilgrim," may be the first country album to be influenced by Pink Floyd. Stuart was inspired to create his "country concept album" after listening to Roger Waters' 1984 album, "The Pros And Cons Of Hitchhiking." That wasn't the only influence. Some songs were also inspired by the sound made by the rhythm of the left turn blinker in Marty's car.
