PORN STAR RON JEREMY REMEMBERS JOHN HOLMES

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- Sunday (Aug. 8) will mark a big anniversary for fans of skin flicks: it's the 55th anniversary of birth of legendary porn actor John Holmes. He died of AIDS in 1988 but, believe it or not, he was once a Bible student and he only entered the porn industry after a female neighbor convinced him his supersized "manhood" could make him big money. Although estimates of Holmes' manhood range between 9 and 14 inches, famous porn actor Ron Jeremy -- who worked side-by-side with Holmes -- claims it was more like 12 inches, give or take a quarter-inch. Holmes may have been a "big man" in the porn world but, according to Jeremy, he was also a big liar who created the urban myth that Holmes and the actor that played Eddie Haskell on "Leave It To Beaver" were the same men. Although Jeremy says Holmes could on occasions be a nice guy, he admits he still hasn't forgiven the actor for continuing to make sex films after he tested positive for AIDS. For that reason, Jeremy says that if there's a heaven and a hell, he's "pretty sure that John is down below."
