`LA NINA' BLAMED FOR THIS SUMMER'S YELLOW JACKET PLAGUE

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- El Nino and La Nina are still wreaking havoc on North America. The latest: the weather patterns are being blamed for swarms of yellow jackets. Entomologist Michael Deutsch of the Allied Exterminating Co. says last winter's unusually warm weather has resulted in an outbreak of literally billions of the nasty stinging beasts. Deutsch fears many folks may try to knock down yellow jacket nests and suffer allergic reactions or even heart attacks brought about by the stings. His advice: stay away from any hives and call a professional. So far, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania are among the hardest hit areas by the "summer swarm."
