CONTEST LOOKING FOR `AMERICA'S DIRTIEST KID'

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- Kids who resemble the dirty Pig Pen character from "Peanuts" cartoons will soon have their day in the sun, thanks to a new contest. A laundry detergent manufacturer wants parents to send in photos of their stain-encrusted children as part of a new contest to find "America's Dirtiest Kid." Judges will then pick a "dirty dozen" of 12 finalists to compete in a Tide "Stain-A-Thon" to be held in New York this November. The stinky finalists will run through a goopy obstacle course filled with ketchup, Jello, gravy, pudding and chocolate sauce to see who can become the sloppiest squirt in the land. The winner will get a trip to Disney World -- but there's no word on whether the dirty kid will have to scrub behind the ears before meeting Mickey Mouse.
