24-HOUR-LONG PLAY OPENS IN LONDON

LONDON (Wireless Flash) -- If you fall asleep halfway through a two-hour movie, try sitting through a 24-hour play. Over the weekend, a London-based theatre company premiered a 24-hour play that condenses 24 years of a man's life into 24 hours on stage. It's called "The Warp" and the play features 40 actors in 140 speaking parts -- including 8 men and two women who switch off playing the lead role. Producer Fraser Clark says he originally planned to cast just one male actor as the lead, but he ditched the idea after the actor suffered a "serious identity crisis" trying to memorize 24 hours of dialogue. Clark says he booked the play as part of a rave event called the "Parallel YOUniversity" because he figures young club hoppers are the only people who will be able to stay awake for 24 hours.
