TNN'S GARY CHAPMAN: `CEMETERIES INSPIRE GREAT SONGS'

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Wireless Flash) -- Although Gary Chapman is best known as the host of TNN's "Prime Time Country," he's also a popular Christian singer. But despite his spiritual beliefs, Chapman admits the way he writes his best songs is pretty spooky: he pens them while sitting in cemeteries. Chapman -- who divorced "Baby Baby" singer "Amy Grant" earlier this year -- believes his best songs are written in cemeteries because death gives you the proper perspective on life. The cemetery songwriting may sound "macabre," but Chapman claims many cemeteries are beautiful, full of history and a place where he can feel the love descendants have for their ancestors. Chapman's latest CD is titled "Outside."
