RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS MELLOWING OUT IN OLD AGE?

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- The Red Hot Chili Peppers are known for bizarre stage antics, but they're losing their edge in their old age. That's according to James Slovak, brother of the band's original guitarist Hillel Slovak, who died in 1988 of a drug overdose. Slovak claims the Peppers aren't nearly as energetic and crazy as they were in the old days, partly because his brother isn't around to rev them up. The band was once called "The Three Stooges" of music and Hillel was the crazy Curly Joe character -- always provoking Moe- like lead singer Anthony Kiedis. James is author of the new book "Behind the Sun: The Diary and Art of Hillel Slovak" (Slim Skinny).
