CIVIL WAR PART II: THE NORTH'S TURN

CHARLOTTE, Vt. (Wireless Flash) -- America might just have another Civil War on its hands if an economics professor at Duke University has his way. Modern day separatist Thomas Naylor is trying to get Vermont, Maine and New Hampshire to join up with several Canadian provinces and form a new country. Naylor says that due to the bloated size of the U.S., smaller states lose government funding to larger ones like California or Texas. So, in a move that could once again pit brother against brother, Naylor is calling for the Northeast's secession by any means necessary. Meanwhile, Vermont officials think his plan is all a load of hogwash. A spokesperson for Vermont Governor Howard Dean says that most Vermonters don't want to form their own country, much less fuss with another civil war. Naylor is the co-author of the book "Downsizing the U.S.A."
