GROUP URGING POSTAL STAMP FOR WWII PIN-UP QUEEN

LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- Fans of the late pin-up queen Betty Grable are lobbying to have a U.S. postage stamp made in her honor. The group calls itself the League to Establish Grable Stamp, or LEGS for short, and counts among its members Debbie Reynolds. Spokesperson Stan Goodrich says the Post Office has honored many deceased celebrities but has ignored Grable and her contributions during World War II -- mostly as a morale-boosting pin-up queen. The LEGS organization is asking folks to help out by writing to the U.S. Post Office and suggesting the committee give approval to a Betty Grable stamp.
