NEW SHOW MIXES GILLIGAN'S ISLAND WITH GAME SHOW

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- Would you allow yourself to be stranded on a deserted island for a million bucks? That's exactly what 16 brave souls are going to do for an upcoming CBS game show called "Survivor". Producers plan to dump the poor folks on a secluded island near Borneo with no water, food or shelter and leave them there for six weeks while a film crew records their every move. At the end of every episode the island castaways will vote for one or two fellow survivors to be kicked off the island. The last remaining person wins a cool million. Although it sounds like something out of "Lord of the Flies", the show isn't as harsh as you might think: there will be a crew of medical and outdoor experts as well as psychologists to help with any cases of "island fever." The show will begin filming next January.
