GRANDPA MUNSTER TO HOST FIRST ONLINE PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- Actor Al Lewis -- a.k.a. Grandpa Munster -- is tackling some real little monsters with his latest effort. Lewis is set to host the world's first online pumpkin carving contest, and he expects anywhere from 500 to 1000 little kids to participate. The pumpkin contest will get underway on the Heynetwork.com website starting tomorrow (Oct. 12) -- and Lewis says his main concern is that the kids be careful around any sharp pumpkin- carving knives. When the contest wraps up October 22, judges will pick the winning design which will be duplicated on a 1000-pound pumpkin in New York City's Central Park. The 89-year-old Lewis says he's happy to be participating in the spooky online event because he's always loved Halloween. In the former "Munsters" star's words, "To me, Halloween means family."
