SHOULD CHARLIE BROWN BE POPPING PROZAC?

OKEECHOBEE, Florida (Wireless Flash) -- A mental health expert in Florida, thinks Charlie Brown should start popping Prozac. In honor of October, which is National Depression Month, physician Leland Heller has compiled a list of the "Pop Culture Icons Most In Need of Psychiatric Help." Heller claims Charlie Brown's lack of self-confidence and low energy level may be funny in a comic strip but they're also symptoms of depression that can be treated with anti-depressants. -- Beaver Cleaver's impulsive behavior suggests he suffers from Attention Deficit Disorder which can be treated with Ritalin. -- Dennis the Menace is practically the poster child for hyperactivity which also responds to Ritalin. -- Finally, Heller says whiny worrywarts such as Barney Fife from "The Andy Griffith Show" or Daffy Duck are good examples of "Generalized Anxiety Disorder" which can be helped with a drug called Buspar. Dr. Heller is the author of a new book, "Biological Unhappiness" (Dyslimbia Press).
