STUDY REVEALS BIG BREASTS MORE PAINFUL THAN ARTHRITIS

NEW ORLEANS (Wireless Flash) -- Women with large breasts aren't as happy as you might think. According to a new study by Dartmouth Medical School, large breasts cause back, neck and shoulder pain that's as painful as arthritis or cancer. Researchers asked large-breasted women to complete a medical questionnaire which scientifically measures pain. Then they compared the results to the scores for other medical conditions. The level of pain reported by big-breasted women rated 27.6 on the scale -- nearly two points higher than the level of pain reported by the average cancer patient. Researchers hope their findings will convince insurance companies that having big breasts is a "significant medical condition" and that breast reduction surgery should be covered by insurance plans. The study is being presented today (Oct. 27) at the Scientific Meeting of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons in New Orleans.
