FDA NIXES `CANINE CAJONES' SURGERY

BUCKNER, Mo. (Wireless Flash) -- The Federal Drug Administration has nixed the plans of a California man to have canine testicular implants surgically implanted into his body. 41-year-old Jim Webb lost his left testicle a year ago and was hoping to replace it with a plastic prothesis usually implanted in male dogs who've been fixed. The surgery was scheduled to take place November 10, but the FDA is now forbidding the procedure and has issued a testy letter stating that the plastic doggy gonads -- called Neuticles -- are "illegal" for human use. The inventor of Neuticles, Gregg Miller, says he won't push for the surgery because he doesn't want to do anything illegal, but Webb may get his canine cajone after all. Miller says a German television station has offered to pay Webb's round-trip airfare to Germany, where the implant surgery can be completed legally.
