`RUGRAT' SHARES HER CARTOON ACTING TIPS

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) -- Fruit can be your worst enemy -- especially if you're a cartoon voice-over artist. That's according to Tara Charendoff, who provides the voices for "Baby Dil" on "Rugrats" and "Bubbles" on the "Powerpuff Girls." She says she avoids fruit like the plague whenever she's working because it makes strange gurgling noises in her stomach that can be picked up by a microphone. Chocolate and cookies are also high on Charendoff's no-no list because they clog up vocal chords and cause her to choke while performing. She says the best way to start off a cartoon character vocal session is by drinking room temperature water or hot tea. Charendoff has just been nominated for the animation world's version of an Oscar for her work in "Powerpuff Girls."
