WORKER SHORTAGE MEANS MORE JOBS FOR PRISONERS

CHICAGO (Wireless Flash) -- It looks like prisons may soon replace temporary agencies as the best place to find new workers. According to business trend expert John Challenger, it's getting so hard to find new workers that some American companies are resorting to going behind bars. Challenger says the inmates are actually paid minimum wage for their labors, which are done inside the prison and include everything from sorting mail to making furniture. But convicts aren't the only odd group who can benefit from the current worker shortage: Challenger predicts companies will soon become so desperate to fill spots they'll resort to recruiting retired folks, stay-at-home moms and even recent immigrants who can't speak English.
