SEX REASON BEHIND RITZ CRACKER'S 65 YEARS OF SUCCESS?

PARSIPPANY, N.J. (Wireless Flash) -- Here's some food for thought: the Ritz Cracker will celebrate its 65th anniversary this Sunday (Nov. 21). On November 21, 1934, Nabisco introduced the Ritz cracker to consumers and it was such a hit that the company cranked out nearly 5 billion crackers the first year alone. Although Nabisco claims "taste" is why the Ritz has been so popular, subliminal advertising expert Dr. Wilson Bryan Key suspects sex is the real reason. He claims that since the 1960s, Nabisco has stamped the letters "S-E-X" on each Ritz cracker in an attempt to subliminally attract snackers who are also hungry for love. In fact, Key claims he's actually seen the cracker molds that stamp the word "SEX" into each Ritz, and he was told by an advertising executive that kinky word sells crackers. Meanwhile, a Nabisco spokesman insists the word "SEX" is not subliminally embedded on Ritz crackers or any of its other snacks.
