BOOZY BEAUTY CRAZE: SLATHERING SKIN WITH WINE GRAPES

SONOMA, Calif. (Wireless Flash) -- You've heard of aromatherapy? now there's "vinotherapy" -- as in wine. The fancy new beauty treatment involves scrubbing the body with seeds taken from red wine grapes, which supposedly make the skin look younger. One of the spas offering "vinotherapy" is California's Sonoma Mission Inn where technician Barbara Stancil says youth- seekers from around the world are partaking in the boozy beauty treatment. During the procedure, folks are smeared with a paste made from red wine grape seeds, then scrubbed with a loofah sponge and slathered with lotion made from the wine grapes. Stancil says vinotherapy has become so popular that the spa will soon be introducing a line of wine treatments including grape seed bubble baths, mud wraps and oil massages.
