ELECTRIC CHAIRMAKER BUZZING OVER TOM HANKS FLICK

CHARLESTON, W. Va. (Wireless Flash) -- Tom Hanks' new death row movie, "The Green Mile," is making some green money for a West Virginia company that makes novelty electric chairs. The Ole Sparky Electric Chair Company claims that ever since film was released, it's been flooded with calls from people interested in buying an electric chair of their own. Company owner John Pauley says he now hopes to license a special "Green Mile" version of his electric chair so folks can relive the movie anytime they want. For the record, these life-size chairs don't actually electrocute anyone, they just vibrate and buzz. Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the National Coalition To Abolish The Death Penalty fears the novelty chairs will "desensitize" people and turn the death penalty into a laughing matter.
