MILLENNIUM SUNRISE SALE NETS ONLY $200 GRAND

PITT ISLAND, New Zealand (Wireless Flash) -- The first sunrise of the millennium may be a once in a million occurrence in your lifetime, but it's only worth $200,000 on the open market. That's according to Sally Lanauze of Pitt Island, New Zealand, whose father owns a farm in New Zealand on land that will receive the first rays of sunlight on January 1. Earlier this year, Mr. Lanauze tried to sell the broadcast rights to the first sunrise for $1 million, but the best he could do was a $200,000 offer from the New Zealand Broadcasting Company. As it turns out, the millennium sunrise won't even be broadcast on TV. Instead, folks will be able to see the first sunrise by logging onto http://millennium.pittisland.co.nz
